Some people think that family contact is all about having making movies and songs and art but we're also about just hangin' out and having a good time. Sometimes you need to have some down time to relax and have some fun. I think everyone should just take some time out of there day or week or month or whatever to have a good time and relax. just hang.

Getting in shape to be in videos again

So I feel really out of shape, in need of help. Aaron and I need a workout area, Dennis said something about him getting one from Michael Page, a bench press that he didn't use, but he's not following up and Aaron and myself are becoming flabby pigs. I started doing push-ups and sit-ups in my bedroom but those get too easy and I don't feel like doing more then 400.
We're going to be hot muscle guys, come workout with us, or donate money for us to get gym memberships and we'll workout with you, spot you, while you improve yourself. We'll hang out with wolfs and tear our shirts more.

Shining Screen

This is to all my friends who are constantly looking for updates about Family Contact and screenings. There's one soon, pretty much tomorrow, I should have told you earlier. But it's Wednesday night at FILM FORT, and we'll have Efehan's new animation "The Gunslinger's" starring aaron and I along with my hilarious video about helping myself out which has incredible special effects.

Check it out, there are a lot of other great artists showing there work there too. The fort has a lot of cushions and great refreshments, and feels like your home.

OCAD Generations paves the way for something, maybe, maybe not? But it was really fun

OCAD Generations was great, thank you to the Bloor, and our performer, and our video makers, and each other. We hope everyone had a great time.

What's next for Family Contact and friends and associates? Maybe we can't say right away, but you can be sure we're not going to perish yet.

OCAD GENERATIONS

CALLOUT FOR SUBMISSIONS!

In mid May we organized the OCAD video fest "I MADE THIS FOR CLASS" at the classic Bloor Cinema which was a mega success containing a varied taste of videos from 4th year OCAD students. Now, Bloor Cinema has been booked again for September 10th 2008 7pm and we are currently in the process of making a new video/OCAD festival.

YOU: need to submit your video/s, they can be anything (but consider them for the cinema environment):

GUIDELINES: Any OCAD student, affiliate or alumni may submit a video or film that they made recently (maximum two years old), on viewable dvd or vhs format that is less then 20 minutes long.

FORM: click here Fill this out with your video.

DEADLINE: August 15th 2008.

LOCATION: Submit your video to a box we will have near the OCAD Integrated Media signout cage on the 3rd floor or contact us and/or drop by our home.

Website Launch

We figured we had to celebrate the website coming together, mostly, sometime soon, and since it is pretty much all there I had the brilliant idea of organizing a water balloon games night by flashlight. It will be held at a small park just north of college on lippincott this sunday night, the 13th. There will be lemonade I hope and maybe popsicles and lots of people, soaking wet, saying how cold they are. And then someone might start a war.

Christie Rivers Day Camp

Aaron and I helped at a camp last summer and again this year for a little bit too, with Efehan and the kids that we helped out have some great videos to show. Marcus Wong and Robert Lanski are two early teens who know howda run show behind the lens. We only did what they told us to do. They made us proud.
